Glass House
The property in Montecito California known as the Glass Pavilion is currently for sale. Built by Steve Hermann, this contemporary home comes in at almost 14,000 square feet and is located on approximately 3.5 acres. The house has 5 bedrooms, 5-1/2 baths, a wine room and a gallery big enough to hold 32 cars. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind. I have to ask: Knowing you were surrounded by 3.5 acres, would you feel comfortable enough to live in a glass house like this?

Rosemary Beach Vacation Rental
Have you heard of Rosemary Beach? It is a darling community tucked along the gulf shore in Florida, between Panama City and Destin. Common areas are made up of perfectly manicured lawns and shrubs. There are secret paths, tennis courts, even a quaint little post office. It is a planned community with architecture that seems along the lines of New Orleans meets the West Indies. No detail has been overlooked in its design.

Ivy Covered Architecture
I’ve always been of the opinion that ivy-covered buildings, columns, gates and arbors look more interesting. When covered in vines, a structure seems historic and maybe even a little mysterious. In fact, this plant was one of my first purchases when we moved in to our current home. Years later, a large section of the front of our home is now ivy-covered brick. Although pruning is constantly required to keep it from taking over, I love the way it looks. Following is a glimpse of some other ivy-covered structures. Are you a fan of this look?
