If the Emmy Awards were any indication, deep blue seems to be a color on the rise. Crayola’s Midnight Blue was my very first “favorite color” and I still enjoy these dark, inky blues. As I start thinking about fall fashion each year, my mind inevitably wanders into the red zone. Perhaps it’s in anticipation of nature’s burst of rich color each autumn, but around September, I start craving red fashion. In fact, this week I added a red jacket to my wardrobe. As I flipped through my September issues last weekend, I was positively giddy with the amount of animal print in those fashion pages. Although I’m personally of the opinion that it’s a classic and never goes out of style…it appears it’s as in as ever this fall. And it seems leopard print (which just happens to be my absolute favorite) is the exotic print of choice this year. Following is a look at some of the leopard print options available right now. Sometimes it’s just the simple things that make me happy. Like ruffles. With autumn approaching, I can’t help but look ahead to fall fashions. While skimming through Anthropologie, I noticed a bit of a ruffle theme. And these are not the overly frilly ruffles of a few years ago. These are their grown-up and refined cousins. It’s what I’m currently coveting. What fall fashions are you looking forward to this year?

Today’s arrival of Elle brought with it approximately 20 pages of Julia Roberts in a layout inspired by her current movie, Eat Pray Love. So pretty! Today Madonna celebrates her 52nd birthday. Although constantly controversial, the woman is a powerhouse. If you think about it, for many…she’s ALWAYS been part of the music scene. If you were born in 1984 (Like a Virgin’s release) or later, Madonna has just always been there.

Twisted Silver just makes me happy! Their newest addition is no exception. TS’s new Balance Earrings are bold and gorgeous. Antiqued silver hoops on a post, with Twisted tags and coming in at 2.5 inches in length, they certainly make a statement.
