Alexander McQueen shoes (and skull clutches) are some of the goodies that fill my fashion shopping fantasies. I would love the chance try on the ankle boots above. I’m not sure I’d be able to walk in them…but I’d sure love to try.

Hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start. My weekend to-do list includes switching out my closet from summer to fall. Although the task itself isn’t a lot of fun, I really am looking forward to bringing out the scarves, faux fur, animal print and lots of layering pieces. What are your plans for the weekend? My life has been moving at about 90 miles an hour for so many years now. Most days I can’t remember what it was like to relax. Completely overwhelmed by it all recently, I made a decision to take a step back. I’m on a mission to get back to basics. I want to know what it feels like to breathe easy again. And I’m making progress.

Throughout Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week many designers showed collections consisting of more than a few muted neutrals. And while I enjoy these soft colors occasionally, I was really craving some bursts of color. Marc Jacobs delivered! With rich purples, candy-colored orange, perfect pinks and much more…this collection was a feast for the eyes. Following are some examples. Have a beautiful day!

A dreamy and romantic bed seems to be the ultimate escape from today’s hectic pace. Who doesn’t enjoy curling up in a luxurious bed and letting the day’s thoughts and concerns slip away? My ideal bed starts with high thread count sheets (with a sateen finish), a thick featherbed and down comforter.
