What a happy week ~ September fashion magazines showing up daily! Today’s arrival of Elle brought with it approximately 20 pages of Julia Roberts in a layout inspired by her current movie, Eat Pray Love. So pretty! (FYI- The child appearing in the photo below is actually Julia’s son.) Of all the fashion magazines out there, which September issue do you look forward to the most?

I’m not such a JR fan but I have to admit, she looks good in the second pic. I haven’t seen the film yet but I hope to soon! Do all magazines have “september issues”, not just Vogue?

♥Cafe Bellini-Great question about “September Issues.” It’s been my understanding that the September issue with most fashion magazines is usually the largest and most important issue of the year. First off, it’s a preview of all the fall/winter fashions. And it typically carries the most advertising. For example, this year, Elle’s massive September issue has 562 pages vs. 296 pages in its May issue. (Something tells me the postal service hates this time of year.)
If anyone else has different information about Sept. issues – please comment below. But this is how I’ve always understood it.

I have so many magazines that they get stacked and I read when I can. I get: Parents, InStyle, RedBook, Oprah and Bazaar. I read them in order, but I’m always a couple months behind. I just got Bazaar yesterday, I’ll get to it around Christmas

♥Lulu-Those magazines stack up so quickly, don’t they? I hate to admit it, but a few years ago I got so far behind I just got rid of my unread pile and started fresh. I felt bad that I got rid of magazines without reading them, but I got tired of reading about boots in April and swimsuits in October. lol!

this was a great spread. there was another shot of her with a hat on, supremely boho chic. beautiful. i wasn’t always a fan of Julia Roberts’, but am growing to like her as she ages…maybe it’s my aging right alongside her too…
