Asked and Answered

Asked and Answered Within the last week I’ve been tagged by two fellow bloggers to answer a set of questions.  This post includes my answers to both sets.  And at the end I have 3 questions for you!

The first set is from the always lovely Monique at My Glamourology:

1. Who is your favorite designer? Coco and Karl…Chanel makes me weak in the knees.

2. Name 3 items you can’t live without? Lip gloss, sunscreen, mascara.

3. What’s your favorite fashion era? 1950′s – the fashions were so ladylike and elegant.

4. Any fashion icon? Rachel Zoe has been growing on me so much over the past two years.  I love her casual boho vibe and her generous use of accessories.

5. Favorite song? It depends on my mood.  I listen to everything from Jazz to Rap.  If I’m in a martini-drinking mood -  it’s any song from Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin.

6. Favorite book(s)? I LOVE books and have hundreds.  I would never be able to narrow it down to one or two.  I can however tell you, these days my favorites are generally non-fiction.  (So nerdy – I know.)  But I have a constant thirst for knowledge and just can’t help myself.  When I was young I loved fiction.  My fave character back then was Nancy Drew.  icon smile Asked and Answered

7. Favorite movie? Hmm… the movie that made the biggest impression on me was the original When A Stranger Calls.  It still freaks me out to this day!

8. Favorite season? Personally I enjoy spring the most, but for fashion, fall can’t be beat.

The next set of questions is from the fab V at Grit and Glamour:

1. Practically everyone is six degrees from a celebrity, political figure, or famous person. Will you explain your six degrees of separation from someone famous? I’ll just start out with the fact that I was once very young and stupid.  You’ll see what I mean as you read on.  When I was in college I worked for a woman who was friends with Warren Buffett.  (This was back when I still lived in Nebraska.)  Warren is a Nebraska resident and popped in one day for a visit.  I let my manager know that “a Warren somebody” was here to see her.  After he left, she explained just who Warren was.  I didn’t have a clue.  FYI – He truly was the most down-to-earth and unassuming person I think I’ve ever met.

2. What have you always wanted to do, but haven’t yet? I’ve kind of always wanted to skydive.  I had an uncle who did it a lot when I was young.  It sounds exhilarating.  Although I’m not sure that my fear of heights would allow me to actually jump from a plane that wasn’t on fire or heading into a mountainside.

3. Your favorite meal is… Any meal that involves crab legs.  Yummy!

4. If you could only save one pair of shoes in your closet, which pair would it be, and why? Although I have an embarrassing number of shoes…I’d sprint straight past them to save my Chanel 2.55 bag. It’s my most prized accessory.

5. Which handbag would you buy if money were no object? Hermès Birkin.

6. Who is your girl crush? Without a doubt, Angelina Jolie.  More here and here….

 Asked and Answered

7. What is your vice? Salt.  Just about everything’s better with salt on it.

8. Last song you listened to? Eminem’s Beautiful.

Now it’s your turn.

I’d love to hear more about you!  Instead of passing this out to just a few bloggers, I’ve created a short list of 3 questions for anyone who wants to participate.  Either answer below in comments or do a post on your site with your responses.  Can’t wait to hear from you!

  • The one piece of clothing or an accessory you can’t wait to wear this fall?
  • What was your first job?
  • What is something you hope never goes out of style?

♥Daisybabie-I agree about the remake of the movie…it was definitely not as scary as the original. Yay for skydiving! Hopefully at least one of us accomplishes it at some point. Have a beautiful day sweetie!
