As I start thinking about fall fashion each year, my mind inevitably wanders into the red zone. Perhaps it’s in anticipation of nature’s burst of rich color each autumn, but around September, I start craving red fashion. In fact, this week I added a red jacket to my wardrobe. The property in Montecito California known as the Glass Pavilion is currently for sale. Built by Steve Hermann, this contemporary home comes in at almost 14,000 square feet and is located on approximately 3.5 acres. The house has 5 bedrooms, 5-1/2 baths, a wine room and a gallery big enough to hold 32 cars. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind. I have to ask: Knowing you were surrounded by 3.5 acres, would you feel comfortable enough to live in a glass house like this?

As I flipped through my September issues last weekend, I was positively giddy with the amount of animal print in those fashion pages. Although I’m personally of the opinion that it’s a classic and never goes out of style…it appears it’s as in as ever this fall. And it seems leopard print (which just happens to be my absolute favorite) is the exotic print of choice this year. Following is a look at some of the leopard print options available right now. Are you a fan? Or is there another animal print you prefer?

Sometimes it’s just the simple things that make me happy. Like ruffles. With autumn approaching, I can’t help but look ahead to fall fashions. While skimming through Anthropologie, I noticed a bit of a ruffle theme. And these are not the overly frilly ruffles of a few years ago. These are their grown-up and refined cousins. It’s what I’m currently coveting. What fall fashions are you looking forward to this year?

Have you heard of Rosemary Beach? It is a darling community tucked along the gulf shore in Florida, between Panama City and Destin. Common areas are made up of perfectly manicured lawns and shrubs. There are secret paths, tennis courts, even a quaint little post office. It is a planned community with architecture that seems along the lines of New Orleans meets the West Indies. No detail has been overlooked in its design.
