Good morning! This is where I’d like to have coffee this morning. Sitting in this window seat, looking out at what appears to be a European city, and surrounded by books. Doesn’t that sound like a little slice of heaven?

Can you imagine living here? This Mediterranean-style estate is currently for sale. With over 13,000 square feet and right on the water…I think I could make it work.

Good morning and welcome to this week’s Turquoise Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. Yesterday morning we seemed to have a tiny break in the humidity. I took the opportunity to have my coffee out on the patio and enjoy the sunny morning. It was wonderful! It’s hard to believe we’re already in the last week of July. Summer seems to be flying by. I’ve read that aquariums are sometimes installed as stress-reducers. I agree that they have a calming effect. So when I saw this underwater suite, I was immediately intrigued. Can you imagine sleeping here? Do you think it would be the ultimate in relaxation? Or would it kind of freak you out? I’d love to know!
What are your plans for this weekend? We’re doing some major manicuring of trees, shrubs and vines this morning. All the rain we had a few weeks ago caused the landscaped areas to become overgrown. After that, the rest of the weekend will probably be spent on a project I’ve been working on for the last month or two. I’m very excited about it and hope to be able to share some info with you next week. So stay tuned…

When I saw the above dining room in July’s Architectural Digest, it really drew me in. Black walls. How bold! Suddenly I wondered, “Could I ever be brave enough to paint a room black?”

Although I love summer, there are days when I’d like nothing more than the opportunity to experience a cool, crisp morning. Maybe just a few days away from the fierce heat and humidity… Although I’m a beach girl at heart, I’ve found myself wondering lately, “Wouldn’t a vacation to the mountains be nice about now?”

I’m fascinated with the trailer for the upcoming movie, Eat Pray Love. Maybe I’m drawn to it because this movie has a message I need to hear at this very moment in my life. I’ll guess I’ll have to wait and find out. It doesn’t come out until August. (I thought about ordering the book, but suspect this movie will be so visually stimulating, I’ll want to “see” it.)
