Maybe it’s just me, but whatever lip gloss I wear seems to travel. It does not matter what brand or formulation I use…it is just a fact in my world. Or at least it was at one time.
You may have noticed, I don’t write about beauty products very often. As a person who’s tried virtually everything in this department, it takes a lot to impress me. But recently I found a product that is definitely worth a mention.
It’s a product by Mally Beauty. (Regular readers know, I’m also smitten with one of her mascaras.) It’s called Lip Fence. Quite simply, it’s a clear lip liner. At first this concept may seem pointless…after all, it’s invisible. But that’s the genius of it.
Lip gloss, by nature is liquid and therefore is prone to movement. By applying Mally Beauty Lip Fence along the lip line first, an invisible barrier is formed which helps keep lip gloss within this “fenced” area. And it’s really helped me. I especially notice it when wearing lip glosses with sparkles…the sparkles now actually stay on my lips.
Lip Fence can be used with both lipstick and gloss, although I can only speak to its effectiveness in the gloss department – as I’ve never tried it with lipstick.
If traveling gloss is your issue too – you might check it out.

This is so good to know! I don’t wear lipliner (I don’t like the “lined” look and can’t be bothered to blend, but often wear gloss or a gloss over lipstick. This sounds like exactly what I need for a few of my darker colors.

♥ V – I know what you mean about the “lined” look – I’d stopped wearing lip liner for that exact same reason. If you try this, you’ll have to let me know what you think.
