I feel like a proud mom. My virtual baby is growing up. Today she’s one year old!
And as a person who uses birthdays and new years as times to reflect on the past and look forward to the future…today is huge.
Overall, I just feel joy and thankfulness to you as a reader. Your continued support means more to me than words can even express.
You’ve probably noticed, DDD has undergone many changes. Let’s just say, when I sat down at my computer – one year ago today – and hit “publish” on my first post…I didn’t have a clue.
Over 12 months I learned a lot. Some of the lessons were difficult, others were even financially costly, and a few were just happy surprises. Maybe someday I’ll write a post about the business end of blogging and the things I wish someone would have told me a year ago. 
It’s been a journey. And I have met some amazing people because of it. Thank you for being part of DDD!

♥ Laura – What a small world! I guess June 9th was a just a good day to start a blog.
As for the branding… I’ve been making notes and sketching for months about my ideas. Thankfully with the help of the lovely artist Danielle Meder (who did the illustration of the 2 models in the header), plus the very-talented graphic designer Christy Burke (who did the flower…and so many other details, and genius web designer Jenn Schiffer – my ideas all came together. I cannot thank these lovely ladies enough. I’m so lucky to have found each of them.
