As much as I like the spectator look in fashion (which is a lot!) I also like it in flooring. Once upon a time I owned a condo in which most of the first floor was done in black and white tile. It was that way when I moved in…and it soon became one of my favorite things.

Basic laptops aren’t so basic anymore. Recently, a butterfly embellished model was spotted as an accessory on the Vivienne Tam runway.

Do you ever have those days when inspiration seems elusive? What do you do to snap out of it?
Personally, I have a checklist of sorts. I usually flip through books, magazines and beautiful blogs. Then if that doesn’t do the trick I like to work on some sort of project (even if it’s just cleaning) or get out into nature.

I am just giddy about these fashions from Anthropologie! With unique gathers and/or figure-flattering draping, they are all so feminine. Don’t you love it when a basic is beautifully reinvented?

I’m the first to admit that when it comes to interior design, sometimes my tastes literally change with the days and seasons. While I may have been craving a French cottage look yesterday, along comes a hot summer day and I’m suddenly drawn to this contemporary cutie.
