Have you ever felt “stuck” in your life?  You know something great lies ahead, but you can’t seem to see the road?  In fact, life may actually be going quite well….but you know it could be even better.

I began feeling this way about two years ago.  I had a medical-based career and made a very good living.  My daily activities centered around consulting with cardiologists, heart surgeons and interventional radiologists on medical procedures.  And even though it all looked good on paper, I was miserable.

A few of the trees have starting to change colors in my Norman, Oklahoma neighborhood.  Bright orange and beautiful…they’re certainly going out in a blaze of glory!  When I ran across the above quote – I thought it would be perfect for today along with a few gorgeous autumn-orange photos.  (Photos continue below.)

And now about the second part of today’s title…  We had some excitement yesterday.  I experienced my first earthquake.  That’s not really the kind of thing one expects in my region!  (We’re the land of tornadoes – NOT earthquakes.)  From the reports, it sounds like our home was within about 15 miles of the epicenter.  And I definitely felt it.  While it would just be a baby tremor in California, for the inexperienced like me, it was kind of scary.
