Thanksgiving

Counting my blessings:

As a child, part of our Thanksgiving celebration involved the ritual of going around the table, each person explaining at least one thing for which they were thankful.  One by one, people spoke with such sincerity in their voices…and then it was my turn.

With all eyes upon me, I’d mumble something about being grateful for my dog or whatever popped into my head.  Such pressure for a little kid.

As I grew older, I actually started to put thought into my answers.  I began to learn the power of gratitude.

Now in my own home, I continue this tradition.  Over the past several days I’ve put a lot of thought into the subject.  I’ve been, as they say, counting my blessings.

Here’s some of what I’m thankful for:

And last, but certainly not least…I am thankful for YOU!

I love this post ! I am thankful for some of the same things.
The one I loved the most was :
“Being the first person up and out early in the morning after
a huge snowfall. It’s so silent–it feels like you’re the
only person in the world.” There was something so magical
about the picture and about how you said that :)
Thank YOU for this post !

❤ Uniqua–Thank you so much! I grew up in an area that received
a lot of snow in the wintertime…and have always loved that feeling
of being the first one out in the winter wonderland.

❤ Sabrita–Thank you for such kind words. You make me smile!

Both of you have an amazing day!
