From Coco to Karl:
From the very first time my eyes rested upon the interlocking C’s, I was hooked. My first crush was on the classic Chanel 2.55 bag. Introduced by Coco Chanel in Feb, 1955 (2.55) it went on to become one of the most iconic bags in fashion history.
How do you describe perfection?
The quilting, chain details and richly-colored lining look as fresh today as they did over 50 years ago. For years I coveted this bag. Worshiped it from afar…until one day the stars aligned. It became mine.
Since that time it’s been one of my most prized possessions. I wish I could say I’m one of those women who carries it daily–because after all, why have it if you don’t use it! But in all honesty, my baby only comes out on the most special of occasions. The rest of the time she rests comfortably in her sleeping bag…like a princess. Sometimes I take her out just to visit. Then safely stow her away again.
So many pieces, so little time (and money);
It’s love! And it has always been love with Chanel. I die for a good Chanel jacket. Adore Chanel’s long necklaces and swoon over the shoes. Name a Chanel fragrance—I’ve used them all! From the the days of Coco to the leadership of Lagerfeld; this design house has been a force.
I feel compelled to do a post on Chanel at least every few months. While I find inspiration in many designers, the House of Chanel will always be my first love!

How not to love Chanel? And what designer has not been inspired in some way?
❤ Twisted Tina–You’re right, Chanel is just timeless!

coco brought a lot of HAPPINESS to others through her design, or
should I say architecture. She was a consumate work horse and
very prolific! I wonder how much other happiness she had in her
life.
