Yesterday I asked the question, “Do you ever run across fashion items you love…but are afraid they look too much like a costume?”

This happens to me a lot. So this Halloween weekend, I thought would be the perfect time to demonstrate some of these looks. What better time to wear an item that looks a bit like a costume?
Today’s ensemble began with the skirt. I love the idea of such a fun skirt–but would probably only wear it once.
I had a lot of fun creating the following, which I’m calling Roses for the Queen. Enjoy and have an amazing Halloween weekend.

It’s very much an “Alexander McQueen” look–a little costumey, yes–so that’s appropriate if that’s your style, go for it! Personally, I think I’d ditch the over the knee boots–just a little too “hookerish” for me.
