Chanel: A look inside her Apartment

Shown virtually the same as when she left it, Coco Chanel’s apartment provides many clues as to what inspired this fashion legend. 
Because she was such a private person, Chanel was always a bit of a mystery. Perhaps that is why we remain so fascinated with her even after all these years.
In the following video we get to tour the apartment Coco used for entertaining. In typical Chanel eccentricity, she never actually lived there. She slept at the Ritz every night.
Some of Chanel’s inspirations seen in the video:
- Camellias
- Lions (she was a Leo)
- Ornate mirror (which inspired top of the Chanel No. 5 bottle)
- Tan suede couch (tan being one of her favorite colors)
- Hidden “5″ and “CC” in the crystal chandelier
- Quilted pillows
There’s even the hint of Chanel No. 5 still lingering in the air.
