You may already have all you need!

In a recent poll on DailyDivaDish.com you overwhelmingly chose Statement Jewelry as your favorite fall 09 accessory trend.  It had my vote too!  We’ve shown you some aspirational statement necklaces…but what about more affordable options?

Today I will share with you some of my new statement necklaces.  The trick is that none of them are actually new…but they are now statement necklaces.

For example, in the photo below I created this look by taking a pendant and placing it on a thin leather string.  Then taking a long coin pearl necklace and doubling it.  All together in this way–some really simple pieces now command attention.

In the next example I took some old simple bead necklaces plus a few extra strands of beads…and put them together at different lengths and attached a clasp.  Instant statement!

In the last example, I took what was already a red coral statement necklace from many seasons ago and amped it up a bit.  I did this by layering it with a shell pendant on a leather cord.  Together the look goes over the top…which I love.

Although not pictured, another idea I’ve used is layering some of my sterling chain link necklaces together for a new look.

While the materials used in the pieces above aren’t for everyone…the idea remains the same.  Take another look at your existing pieces and see if you can mix and match to create your own statement looks for less.
