Your Favorite Accessory of the Moment:

In our recent poll, you voted gigantic cocktail rings as your favorite current accessory.  I personally agree with your choice!  (Statement necklaces came in a somewhat distant second.)

I’ve been rocking these enormous adornments for years. Thank goodness for their recent popularity.  Now I have been able to collect a whole new bunch of rings!  And that makes me so happy.

Carlee Santarelli Rings

Always on the lookout for these treasures, I recently found a new source.  Carlee Santarelli.  She makes huge rings with a scrap of fabric positioned under an oval cabochon.  The cabochon works to magnify the pattern of the fabric.  The ring itself is brass.  Definitely an attention-grabbing piece!  She currently has some of her designs available on Etsy.com.  Or if you are in the Santa Monica area, her rings are sold at artLAB.

Another Great Choice

If you want to embrace the bold trend, but aren’t ready to commit to anything too different…You just may like my favorite choice in big casual rings.  This ring, as pictured above, consists of a single thread of sterling silver that wraps again and again around the finger.  Handcrafted and simple but beautiful.  This is my go-to ring when I’m just wearing a pair of jeans and a ball cap.  This ring is available at SundanceCatalog.com.

In case you’re new to Sundance, it has a remarkable story.  In 1969 Robert Redford purchased a large amount of land in Utah.  Sundance village is now located there.  It is a community that values artistic contributions and the natural beauty that surrounds them.  A tiny store in Sundance Village carried designs by local artists.  When they began getting order requests from around the world, the catalog was born.  Still today, this catalog and now website too– is filled with unique, handcrafted designs.
