This works wonders for me!

I honestly think I need my grandmother sitting at a neighboring desk constantly reminding me to, “Sit up straight already!”

When standing, my posture is just fine.  However, I slouch in front of my computer screen on a daily basis.

I’m sure you’ve noticed the lower back was designed to curve inward.  Slouching works against this natural curve.  A few hours in, this constant stress on the area results in lower back pain.

Months ago, my pain got unbearable.  I could either stop slouching or find a way to re-align the lower back.  I’m sorry to say I’m still a computer slouch.  But I did find a solution that works very well for me!

A friend told me about something she called her “back stretcher.”  She was referring to the Back Wave II from Gaiam.  This a simple device that delivers as promised.  The link shows a picture of how easy it is to use.  It is a padded device that the user lays on and stretches to open the back.

The reason it is so effective is that when we slouch, we compress the spine and work against the natural curvature of the back.  This gadget re-aligns the area.

I now use mine several times a week and have been virtually pain free!  While I stretch on the Back Wave I relax.  It’s almost like meditation now.  If you have lower back pain-check it out.
