A cult-favorite in this category is Laura Geller’s Balance-n-Brighten. The product is applied like a powder…but there’s nothing powdery about it. It glides over the skin smoothly, doesn’t settle in creases and looks like skin. 
What makes Balance-n-Brighten so different is that it begins its life as a liquid. This liquid is baked in a terracotta pot in an Italian factory. By the time it is removed from the oven, Balance-n-Brighten becomes solid and can be easily applied with a brush.
When opening the Balance-n-Brighten compact, you may be surprised at the product’s coloring. No bland solid colors here! In order to naturally blend with a variety of skin tones, B&B is marbled.
Multitasking possibilities are limitless:
- Spot apply with a small dense brush to conceal.
- Use a tiny brush and apply a small amount directly under bottom lashes to keep eyeliner from smudging.
- Apply to eyelids for an eyeshadow base.
- Use all over as a foundation.
- Or use it over foundation as a setting powder.
Because it adjusts to a variety of skin tones, Balance-n-Brighten comes in just two colors: Fair and Regular. And hopefully Laura will eventually come out with a Rich color as well.
