Keeping Pets Safe:
I’m the happy mother of 2 pugs and am currently caring for a found dog. Between being a wife, working at a career, trying to maintain a social life and caring for the furry children…I have little time for much else. I honestly don’t know how mothers with human children do it all!?!
Sound Familiar?
Bottom line: I forget things all the time! I have my Smart Phone within reach throughout the day. But half of my contacts and “To Do’s” never make it in there.
As summertime heats up so does flea, tick and mosquito season. This makes it such a crucial time for pets to be current on all medications. Not the time to forget and let a few extra weeks slip by between treatments.
I came across an article last week which discussed the potentially fatal threat of heartworms in pets–especially during this time of year. I guess I’ve been living under a rock, but I didn’t realize heartworms were spread by mosquitoes, as the article stated. No wonder this is a bad time of year for them!
After reading the article, I immediately checked my pets’ flea/tick/heartworm meds. Thankfully they were up-to-date! But how could I make sure I wouldn’t forget their next dosage dates?
This Could Help.
After asking around, I found an online pet med reminder service: RemindMyPet.com. It’s very straightforward and easy to use. It falls into the “Why didn’t I think of that?” category.
I really think it will help me. Check it out and pass it on to your friends. Let’s all keep our pets safe and protected.

I always give my dog her heartworm meds on the first of the month. To remind me, I put a little red heart sticker on the calendar on the first of every month.
